SURVIVORS AT THE SUMMIT - August 3, 2013
Celebrating the Triumph of the Human Spirit Over the Challenges of the Human Body

An inspirational event benefiting members of the Cancer Wellness House. Survivors at the Summit symbolizes the challenges individuals experience when faced with cancer, pays tribute to their courage and determination, and honors the memory of those who have passed. Survivors at the Summit is an opportunity for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer and all those who have lost a loved one to cancer to come together for a day of outdoor adventure, entertainment and camaraderie.

Registration opens soon!

TRIBUTE FLAGS
Modeled after traditional Tibetan prayer flags, Tribute Flags honor people who are affected by cancer, survivors and those who have passed away. You can help CWH and honor a loved one, a friend, a co-worker, or anyone you know that has been touched by cancer. Flags are $25 each or a tether of 10 Flags for $200 and may be purchased online or by calling CWH and on the day of the event.

PANCAKES ON THE PLAZA
Snowbird invites sponsors, donors, hikers, members, survivors, and families to the annual Pancakes on the Plaza breakfast from 9:00 – 11:00 am. CWH volunteers team up with Snowbird’s chefs to offer steaming plates of mouth-watering pancakes to fuel your journey to the top.  Bring your friends and family for a good, old-fashioned mountain breakfast while supporting families in need! Breakfast tickets are included in all event registration fees or may be purchased for $5 each.

JOURNEYS HIKE TO HIDDEN PEAK & TRAM RIDES
The Journey Hike to Hidden Peak symbolizes the individual “Summit” each person with cancer faces and strives to achieve. Anyone living with cancer, friends, family or those who have lost someone are invited to hike the 3.5 mile trail to Hidden Peak. A sea of personalized Survivors at the Summit commemorative flags will welcome participants to the Summit. Those unable to hike may take the tram at no additional charge.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY
The Celebration of Life ceremony features inspirational speakers, refreshments and entertainment. Tribute flags are displayed atop Snowbird’s Hidden Peak throughout the day and are the heart of the culminating Celebration of Life Ceremony.

PERSONAL FUNDRAISING AND INCENTIVES
This year all participants will have an opportunity to raise fund for CWH through this celebratory event. Incentives will be offered to those who achieve certain levels with their fund raising efforts.
