Children and teens often experience increased emotional and social stress when a family member is diagnosed with cancer.
Cancer: Communicating with Children and Teens information kits are designed to:
- Help families identify and communicate feelings associated with cancer.
- Furnish resources that assist children in addressing fears and obtaining age appropriate information.
- Increase awareness about local and national cancer related resources for families and professionals.
Cancer: Communicating with Children and Teens information kits are available for preview at Cancer Wellness House and in many Utah elementary school libraries. Information kit contents have been selected by Cancer Wellness House members and a distinguished committee. Current kit includes:
- How to Help Children Through a Parent's Serious Illness
