Individual WELLNESS Counseling

A cancer diagnosis is something that no one would ever wish for. However, it is something that you can learn to live with. Once registered, you will complete a Wellness Assessment. Then you will meet with a CWH staff member and develop your Wellness Plan, which focuses on eight dimensions of wellness, emotional, physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, financial, occupational and environmental.

Eight Dimensions of Wellness

  • Emotional: skills to cope with cancer
  • Spiritual: attitude toward meaning and purpose
  • Intellectual: learning and seeking information
  • Physical: knowledge and practice of self-care
  • Social: support and validation
  • Environmental: stable and postive living
  • Financial: resources and planning
  • Occupational: meaningful work and hobbies
