About Exercise Training: 

This program includes strength training classes, one on one training, hiking and biking groups, gardening clubs, other physical activity outings. This is an opportunity for clients to discover new abilities and enjoy the benefits of exercise as it relates to their cancer treatment and recovery. “The benefits of exercise are well documented in a number of cancers, namely in areas such as fatigue and physical functioning, both of which directly influence quality of life. While survival is the ultimate outcome measure, with an estimated 12 million cancer survivors and growing in the United States, the importance of improving quality of life has grown exponentially (National Cancer Institute, 2014).”

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Adventure SLC! They have many different hikes lead at different times. They will be leading all hikes for the Cancer Wellness House. Check out their meet-up page and see their schedule here.
