Need: Committed volunteers to facilitate specific programs (i.e. Yoga, Stress Reduction, Anger Management), help with special events and projects (i.e. parties, public awareness, advocacy efforts), facility maintenance and/or individual office opportunities.
What: Cancer Wellness House programs provide FREE resources that facilitate the recovery process and enhance quality of life for men, women, and children whose lives have been affected by cancer. Resources are organized by Touchstones (Advocacy, Education, Emotional Support, Physical Well-being, Social, Spirituality) designed to assist individuals and families in identifying issues that arise with a cancer diagnosis and provide a variety of methods to address these concerns.
When: Hours per week may vary to accommodate class/work schedules and activity requirements. Activities are held monthly, weekly, and daily, including some Saturdays.
Why: Men, women, children, and their loved ones experience a variety of physical and emotional issues associated with the diagnosis of, treatment for, and recovery from cancer. Cancer Wellness House, in conjunction with health care providers, offers vitally needed resources designed to help people address these issues more effectively.
