About Massage Therapy:
The National Cancer Institute states that “Massage may help reduce pain and anxiety. It may also help with fatigue and stress. It is pressing, rubbing, and kneading parts of the body with hands or special tools. For pain, a steady, circular motion near the pain site may work best. Massage may also help relieve tension and increase blood flow. Deep or intense pressure should not be used with cancer patients unless their healthcare team says it’s okay to do so.”
You need to schedule an appointment to attend massage therapy. Each appointment will take place in the services house (north house #57). Robes and other materials provided. All cancellations must be made within 24 hours in advance. Please check the calendar to see availability.
Thank you to our certified volunteers:
We are always looking to hire new massage therapists. If you are interested in volunteering to complete certification hours or to just make a difference in the life of a cancer survivor, please call us at (801) 236-2294 or email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
